Welcome to our 10th annual Wyre Forest Young Musician of the Year competition!
Open to local young musicians between 12 and 18, this evening once again promises to be full of the most remarkable young musical talent. The categories for the competition are:
- Classical Music Section (Instrumentalists and Singers)
- Solo Instrumentalist (non-classical)
- Solo Singer (accompanied or unaccompanied)
- Group (two or more members, acoustic or amplified)
In addition, prizes will be awarded for:
- Best original composition
- Best Young Musician aged 14 or under
- Wyre Forest Young Musician of the Year
Over the past nine years it has been a privilege to be in the audience for this remarkable event, and we expect our tenth year will be no exception!
