Festival Venues & Information
What venues are Bewdley Festival using this year?
We'll be using three venues for the 2026 Bewdley Festival of the Arts. All our evening events are being held at St George's Hall Bewdley, an auditorium which seats a maximum of 160 people. Meanwhile, during the daytime events we'll be using Bewdley Baptist Church and St Anne's Church Bewdley as performance spaces, both of which seat around 200 people.
Which venue is my event at?
Your ticket will clearly show venue and start time, but it's worth double checking which venue you should be going to and what start time applies:
- St George's Hall: The Deborah Bonham Band; Kit De Waal; Alistair McGowan; Stuart Maconie; Liz Hyder; Rev. Kate Bottley; Glenn Tilbrook; Ben Bowling; John Robb; Turner & Constable; Baroness Natalie Bennett; Adam Frost; Dr. Gareth Williams; Alfie Moore; Liza Pulman
- Bewdley Baptist Church: Steam & Safari I (West Midlands Safari Park); Max Keen; (Steam & Safari II - Severn Valley Railway); Lesley Smith
- St Anne's Church: The Young pianists of Bewdley; The Carducci Quartet
What time do performances begin?
Liz Hyder's workshop on Monday 12th October is at midday
The Carducci Quartet event on Sunday 25th October is at 3:00pm
These two events aside, all morning events commence at 11:00am, all afternoon events commence at 2:00pm, and all evening events commence at 7:30pm
How long will performances last?
Typically, our events last a total of around 1½ to 2 hours, including breaks. Extra time should also be allowed if you plan to stay behind to join any artists hosting a book signing afterwards.
Where can I park?
Whilst our venues themselves don't have any parking, there is plenty of pay and display parking in Bewdley town:
- Load Street car park (upper and lower, DY12 2AW) is adjacent to St George's Hall, and includes 7 designated blue badge spaces.
- Dog Lane Car park (DY12 2EF) is a short walk from St George's Hall, and includes 8 designated blue badge spaces.
- Gardners Meadow car park (DY12 2DG) is nearer to Bewdley Baptist Church, and includes 8 designated blue badge spaces.
- Redthorne pay & display (DY12 2DJ) is a private car park, situated very close to Bewdley Baptist Church.
- Note also that blue badge holders can park for free in any Wyre Forest District Council car park as long as the blue badge is displayed correctly.
