The famous
Bewdley Festival Soup Trail
2026
2026 saw another great instalment of Bewdley Festival's long-standing Soup Trail - but don't just take our word for it, here's what local paper The Shuttle said:
A popular soup trail involving eight venues across Bewdley has been called a 'fantastic community event'.
The Bewdley Soup Trail, which was organised by Bewdley Festival, took place on Saturday October 3rd, and saw visitors sample soups at several pubs, restaurants, wine bars, and cafes across the town. Across the sell-out event, the participating venues served visitors 300 soup samples, which were then marked out of ten before an eventual winner was crowned. This year the winner was Phillings, with their roasted red pepper tomato mascarpone and optional chorizo soup receiving the nod from visitors and winning the coveted wooden soup bowl trophy.
Festival Manager Sue Pennington called the soup trail a "fantastic annual community event, one which was also supported by musical groups such as The Bewdley Got 2 Sing Choir, local acoustic duo Toucan music, sea shanty boys The Severn Bores, and local Bewdley School musician Reece Bonchill. There was such a buzz, and even those who weren’t lucky enough to secure a ticket - sold in person by the team at the Bewdley Farm Shop - were able to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the other food and drink on offer from the venues".
The venues involved in Bewdley Soup Trail 2026 were Amphora, The Cock and Magpie, The Courtyard, The Garden Kitchen, Phillings, Pon de River, Rise Café and the White Swan.
