From the first Bewdley Festival held in 1988 the aim every year since has been to:
“Bring the Best into Bewdley and the Best out of Bewdley”
through programming a mix of music, talks, comedy, drama and art, with performances featuring well-known stars, interesting personalities and local talent.
You can view our programme brochure for October 2024 by clicking here.
In 2024 we introduced two new events which we hope will become fixtures in our calendar:
The One Earth Festival - a one-day Music and Sustainability event for the entire family, mixing music with messages helping people towards sustainable living, and developed by Bewdley Festival, working with a team from The Bewdley School including students.
With great live music from over 20 acts.
A special guest, the amazing young environmentalist Dr Mya-Rose Craig.
Our annual one-day festival in April 2024 was packed full of some of the best authors, poets and storytellers in the children’s story world today. We had something for all children aged 0 – 12+, from picture books to poetry, detectives to inventors, story trains to storytellers and even a chance for over 16’s (including adults!) to learn a little about writing and telling stories for children.
