Join The Mayor of Bewdley at St Anne's Church for a wonderful celebration of the music and history of Bewdley, in aid of the Mayor's charities.
Saturday April 25th is a busy day for the Bewdley Festival team, as we present our annual Step Into Stories event - a brilliant day full of books, poems, stories and music for children of all ages. And no sooner does Step Into Stories finish, at 6pm another great Bewdley event then takes place at St Anne's Church, The Music of Bewdley. Hosted by Mayor Nicole Harper and supported by Bewdley Festival, the concert will feature performances from Bewdley musicians of all ages, showcasing music from across the genres. There'll be choirs, instrumentalists, classical and popular music, and plenty of opportunities to join in. The concert will finish with the premiere of a new piece by local composer Jim Ineson, telling the Story of Bewdley through poetry and music.

As Mayor, in collaboration with the Bewdley Festival Step into Stories, I am hosting a Community Concert on Saturday 25th April 2026. Since I first came to Bewdley in 1978, I have been struck by the wealth of talent, particularly musical, present in our community so I decided to mark the end of my year in office with an event that would showcase this, bringing people together and celebrating our sense of community .
The Music of Bewdley promises to be a truly special event, not just entertainment but a chance for local musicians and singers of all ages to be heard and for our community to gather around something positive that we can be proud of.
This will be the last occasion as Mayor that I shall be raising funds for the three great charities which I chose to support during my year of office:
The Rob Poysor Fund for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)
As the Mayor says, this promises to be another great Bewdley evening in aid of a great cause, and there will be opportunities to contribute to these much-deserving causes on the night.
