Bewdley Festival is a volunteer run charity that has run an arts festival in Bewdley every year since 1988.
The ongoing success of the Festival is contingent upon the continued support of festival goers through tickets sales, the annual membership fees from the Friends of Bewdley Festival, donations from private donors, Sponsor Partners, Patrons together with support from local businesses and organisations and from the efforts of our volunteers.
Please see below for more information and how to get involved:
Become a Festival Friend and help create the future development of Bewdley Festival.
Bewdley Festival, a registered charity, works year-round to support the main October Festival. We are in the early stages of further growth with a series of eclectic events presented throughout the year.
Thanks to the support and encouragement of the members of the Society, who aim to encourage the festival spirit throughout the year, the Festival has developed and expanded over the years to become an eagerly awaited part of the Bewdley calendar.
Friends pay a small annual fee, currently Individual: £20 per year, Couples: £30 per year, Students and young people aged 18 and under: £5 per year. All renewable annually at the beginning of the year.
Our Friends are crucial to the on-going development of the Festival. Their support enables Festival to maintain the high standards of performance achieved over the years.
The encouragement and support our Friends give the Festival will help us to grow both nationally and internationally; allowing the Festival to nurture the artists and performers who want to flock to Bewdley.
If you would like to join the Friends of Bewdley Festival please download the application form and post it to the Festival Office with your payment. If you pay by Standing Order you will help us save on administration costs.
The benefits of becoming a Festival Friend
We are continually working to extend the benefits of being a Friend of Festival, and the benefits shown below apply to all members.
Daytime Season Ticket (approx. 8 Performances)
Evening Season Ticket (approx. 9 Performances)
The Committee is continuing to speak with third parties to create additional benefits that we hope will be announced on an on-going basis.
Despite current pressures on arts funding, at Bewdley Festival we know from long experience that good business and good art working together can create a richer society and that arts sponsorship is very worthwhile for business.
In addition, in our case, we use it to the direct benefit of the local community.
Business opportunities include:
Using the Festival for corporate hospitality events – allowing your clients and customers to meet with you in a social setting. They have and enjoyable experience and go away with a great feeling after having been to a performance.
Getting your name and brand included in our Festival Social Media campiagns, our Brochure circulated throughout Worcestershire, in our popular Souvenir Programme and through the website.
Supporting Bewdley Festival can be an ideal way of achieving “corporate social responsibility goals”, and you will gain satisfaction and increased profile from helping stimulate community pride and the local economy, making people feel good about where they live, or where they’re visiting.
You and your guests can meet in our Hospitality Suite and be photographed with some of the famous performers who come to Bewdley Festival.
Your brand and company image will receive a boost from exposure to our sell-out audiences and in the local press.
You will access new business networks – meeting other like minded business people in a different and creative environment.
Become a Patron of Bewdley Festival and play a vital part in our future survival and growth.
The Festival has achieved it’s great success building on the hard work of the many volunteers who spend the best part of every year planning the programme and running the October event.
The support of our ticket buyers and the local business community confirms the festival holds an important place in the Bewdley calendar. Each year sees many community events and artistic projects involving Bewdley’s school children.
