Orphan Colours and the Pete Williams Band: A Celebration of Current British Music

Bewdley Festival presents an evening featuring two of the UK’s top touring bands.

Born to Black Country parents just inside a new decade, Pete Williams went to school, had a paper round, dreamed and played clarinet. At age 14 he bought a bass guitar and was soon playing in various bands appearing in social clubs around the industrial West Midlands. Four years later he was invited by an old school friend to join a “new wave soul group” DEXYS MIDNIGHT RUNNERS.

Pete comes to Bewdley Festival on the back of rave reviews for his new album H.O.L.L.L.A.N.D, which he and the band will be featuring.

Orphan Colours are one of the fastest rising bands in the UK, accumulating a growing coterie of followers as well as winning coveted awards.

Their blend of great song-writing and impeccable musicianship fuses the inspirations of traditional roots of rock music with hard-edged tunes and draws favourable comparisons with artists as diverse as Crowded House and Tom Petty.

Two unique acts each with a gift for great lyrics and fine tunes means a tremendous final night for Bewdley Festival.
